About the Role
As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you'll support the team in building and maintaining reliable cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in automating workflows, managing containers, and ensuring system stability.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Help build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
- Support containerisation efforts with Docker and aid orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Contribute to monitoring and alerting setup (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure system health.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot deployment issues and streamline workflows.
- Participate in incident response and post-mortems to improve reliability and prevent recurring issues.
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years (or equivalent experience) in DevOps, cloud operations, or system administration.
- Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS preferred), including basic services.
- Some experience with Docker and Kubernetes in a development or staging environment.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Basic understanding of networking and security in the cloud.
- Eagerness to learn, strong collaboration, and good communication skills.
